"AI software development" searches up 190%, software development news up over 1000%

Search interest in AI software development is climbing fast, and interest in software development news has spiked over 1000% year-on-year.

Two figures stand out from recent UK search data:

Taken on their own, spikes like this can be noisy. But put alongside the wider picture — “app development software” up 150%, “custom development software” up 50%, and AI tooling adoption becoming the default rather than the exception — it points to the same thing: businesses aren’t just asking “can you build this app”, they’re asking “can you build it with AI”, and they’re actively trying to keep up with how fast that space is moving.

For a development studio, this is a prompt to be visible and specific about how AI fits into delivery — not as a buzzword, but as part of the day-to-day process. We cover our own approach on the AI-assisted development page, and where AI fits as a product itself on services.
