Lovable's ARR just hit $500M with a $1B target in 12 months — vibe coding isn't a fad, it's a market
AI app builder Lovable has surpassed $500M in annualised revenue, growing at roughly $8M a month with just 146 employees, and is targeting $1B ARR within a year — hard evidence that 'build an app with AI' has moved from a search trend to a real, fast-growing market that founders now weigh against a professional build.

Lovable, the Stockholm-based “vibe coding” platform, has confirmed it has passed $500M in annualised recurring revenue, up from $400M in February — a growth rate of roughly $8M in new ARR every month, achieved with a headcount of around 146 people. The company is now powering more than 50 million projects, adding a million new ones a week, and its CEO has publicly targeted $1B ARR within the next 12 months. Around 80% of its builders are reported to be non-technical: designers, salespeople, and founders rather than developers.
We flagged Lovable’s $200M milestone back in June as the point where founders started arriving at commissioning conversations with working prototypes instead of wireframes. The jump to $500M, with enterprise names like Klarna and HubSpot now in the customer base, is a different signal: this isn’t a wave of hobbyist experimentation cresting and receding, it’s a genuine, durable market with enterprise money behind it. Search interest in “build app with AI” and “AI app builder” terms has been climbing all year, and the revenue numbers are catching up to the search data rather than the other way round.
So what
The scale here matters for how you plan a build. If your team — or your non-technical cofounder — is already using Lovable, Bolt, or v0 to explore an idea, that’s now a completely normal starting point, not something to hide from a development partner. What Lovable’s growth doesn’t change is the ceiling these tools hit: authentication and session management done properly, GDPR-compliant data handling, integrations with regulated systems, and code a team can maintain and extend for years. The pattern remains prototype to validate, professional build to ship. If you’ve outgrown what a vibe-coded prototype can do, see our custom software development page, or get in touch to talk through where you are.
